Who we are
Netlogix UK Ltd is responsible for your information (the "controller"). We are a company registered in England and Wales, number 04364578, at Unit 30e, Forresters Business Park, Estover Close, Plymouth PL6 7PL. ICO registration number ZA169124.
Questions about your information: hello@netlogixltd.co.uk.
You choose what we keep
You can play without giving us anything. A practice run saves nothing about you. Everything below happens only if you type your details in and tick the box for it. Each box is separate, and none of them is ticked for you. Entering the competition does not sign you up for marketing.
What we collect and why
| What | Why we use it | Our lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| First name and company | To show on the leaderboard screens at our stand, if you tick "Show my name on the leaderboard". Anyone passing can see them. If you don't tick it, your score shows as "Name hidden". | Your consent |
| First name, email and/or phone, company and best score | To run the competition and contact the winner, if you tick "Enter me for the £50 Amazon voucher" | To carry out the competition terms below (contract) |
| First name, email, score and the practice emails you got wrong | To send you your score email, if you ask for it | To give you what you asked for (contract) |
| First name, email and company | To email you Netlogix news and offers, if you tick "Email me Netlogix news and offers" | Your consent |
| Which boxes you ticked, when, and the exact wording you saw | To keep a record of what you agreed to | Legal obligation (we must be able to show consent) |
We don't sell your information or share it for anyone else's marketing. The practice emails in the game are made up; we don't collect anything about what you click inside them.
Where it's kept and who can see it
- On our stand: the game runs on a Netlogix laptop, with a backup on a USB stick we keep with it.
- Microsoft 365: entries are saved to a private list in our SharePoint, and score and marketing emails go out from our hello@ mailbox. Microsoft acts as our processor. Our Microsoft 365 data is stored in the UK and the EU. If Microsoft processes anything outside the UK, it is protected by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK's approved contract terms.
- Our team: only the Netlogix staff who run the stand, the competition and our marketing.
- Amazon: if you win, we may use your email address to send the gift card.
- Opening your score email: like most emails, it loads our logo and font from Squarespace and Google, which see your device's internet address when the email opens.
How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Names on the stand screens | Until the end of the event, then cleared from the laptop |
| Competition contact details (email and phone) of everyone who didn't win | Deleted once the winner has accepted the prize, and no later than 30 days after the event |
| Names, scores and the record of your choices | 3 months after the event, in case of questions about the result, then deleted from the laptop, USB stick and SharePoint |
| Copies of score emails in our mailbox | 12 months |
| Marketing list | Until you unsubscribe. We then keep your email address on a do-not-email list so we don't contact you again by mistake |
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your information
- correct it
- delete it
- stop or limit using it, or object to how we use it
- give it to you in a format you can take elsewhere
You can withdraw consent at any time. Ask anyone on the stand to take your name off the leaderboard, reply "unsubscribe" to any marketing email, or email hello@netlogixltd.co.uk. Withdrawing doesn't affect anything we did before you asked.
We'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Under 18?
The competition is only for over-18s. If you're under 18, you're welcome to play a practice run without giving any details.
Competition terms and conditions
- Promoter. Netlogix UK Ltd, Unit 30e, Forresters Business Park, Estover Close, Plymouth PL6 7PL (company number 04364578). Contact: hello@netlogixltd.co.uk.
- The competition. Phish or Legit is a game of skill played on the Netlogix stand at the Devon Business Show, Plymouth Life Centre, on 14 October 2026.
- Who can enter. You must be 18 or over, live in the UK, and be attending the show. Netlogix employees, their immediate families and anyone involved in running the competition can't enter.
- Free to enter. No purchase is necessary. You don't have to sign up for marketing to enter.
- How to enter. Before you start a game, type your first name and an email address or phone number, and tick "Enter me for the £50 Amazon voucher". You can't enter after a game has finished. Practice runs, played without details, are not entered.
- Playing more than once. You can play as many times as you like. Only your highest score counts, and each person can win only once. You must play under your own name; entries played by someone else will be disqualified.
- When it opens and closes. The competition opens when the stand opens on 14 October 2026 and closes when the stand closes at 15:30 that day. A game that has started before the close counts.
- Choosing the winner. The winner is the eligible entrant with the highest score when the competition closes. If two or more entrants are tied, the winner will be drawn at random from them by a Netlogix employee, with someone not involved in the competition watching.
- The prize. One £50 Amazon.co.uk gift card, sent by email. There is no cash alternative and the prize can't be transferred. If it becomes unavailable, we may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. The gift card is subject to Amazon's gift card terms. Amazon is not a sponsor of this competition.
- Contacting the winner. We'll contact the winner by email or phone within 5 working days after the event. The winner must reply within 14 days to accept. If they don't, or aren't eligible, the prize goes to the next highest eligible entrant.
- Delivery. We'll send the prize within 14 days of the winner accepting it.
- Winner details. We'll give the winner's first name and company to anyone who asks for them, unless the winner objects. We won't use the winner's name or picture in any publicity without their agreement.
- The game. Scores are worked out by the game as shown on screen. If a fault affects a game, we may cancel that game's score. We may disqualify anyone who tampers with the game or tries to win unfairly. Our decision on the result is final, and we'll explain it on request.
- Your information. We use entrants' details only as set out in the privacy notice above.
- Liability. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
- Law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
